LMIRG, affiliated with the Canadian Centre for Studies and Research on Bilingualism and Language Planning (CCERBAL), is first and foremost an interdisciplinary platform for dialogue and exchange on Language Policy and Planning that brings together researchers from different faculties and specialists in both the public and private sector. Its primary aim is to become a place of reflection on the theoretical and practical links between political and research agendas. Secondly, it aims to increase the visibility of research at the University of Ottawa by creating synergies for the joint dissemination of research of its members through seminars and publications. Finally, it provides participation and training opportunities for young researchers and students interested in the field.
